Sunday for CS

Nice to see NM decided to join me. I can only imagine how many beers and chips he enjoyed watching a 0-0 soccer game. I'll excuse him because he didn't know this was coming, sort of how neither of us knew how 300 lbs was coming, or how on May 18th we'd run/walk/shuffle a combined 39.3 miles that day. Nonetheless, here we are.

Workout: 12 mile roundtrip up the Barr trail to Barr Camp. Some running, lots of power hiking, and tons of calories burned. I'm off my mark from last year, but this was my first trip up this summer so I'm OK with it. All said and done it was about a 4 hour voyage (note: if you are new to this running/exercise thing, build up to this amount of time, I didn't get to 4 hours overnight).

Eating: once again this proved to be my downfall. Had 2 slices of toast with PB before my workout. Chicken salad for lunch, (now the bad stuff) 1 sl. of bread with PB at about 3, then a bowl of cereal at about 4. Soon after that I had another one of those darn cookie snack bags (the bad things about having 3 little kids is that there are always snacks around). For dinner I had rice, green beans and baked fish - overall a pretty healthy dinner, despite my 2 too many servings of rice. I did have 2 glasses of chocolate milk - blaming it on the kids again. Oh yeh, I had a Nutroll as a mid-workout snack on the trip back down the mountain.

Overall, well the problem is that I need to stay busy because when I'm sitting around the house - I tend to get hungry = eating.
