Damn straight "Guinness...mmmm". Can't tell you how easily it went down and how difficult it was to not give it a chaser once we got to the game. That's right, ballgame with sausage, peanuts...and no beer. Sounds commie if you ask me. But still, it would've made me feel guilty if I'd had more with no running to counter it. Back to today...
Courts are closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week so the judges can have their annual meetings, so the office does a couple of days of training during that time. Last few years, we've also done a big potluck cookout on one afternoon of that break. Today was that day. Burgers, dogs, chips, dip and desserts everywhere. So I did what any fat guy that's trying to drop weight could do; I got the hell out of there. Went home and got in my 30 minutes of roadwork. Took the dog with me for the first time and actually ran faster than normal, which was good, but don't think I'll do the midday thing again until Fall. Running in 90 degree weather suuuuuuucks.
Eating: usual breakfast, burger with lettuce ketchup (no cheese), two small pieces of boudin (basically cajun dirty rice in a sausage casing), some salad and two cookies for lunch, and stroganoff on rice w/peas and carrots and a Bud Light w/lime for dinner.
G'luck in the hill country, CS. Blog at ya on your return. We'll be watching Euro Cup for you while you're gone.
